Demolition to the studs
Tub deck, vanities, shower and travertine floor removed, with the rest of the house protected.

The original master bathroom had a tiled drop-in tub deck, two tile-top vanities, a small white-tile shower and a travertine floor. BFF Construction and Design took it down to the studs and rebuilt it around a freestanding tub, a larger custom shower and one long vanity.
The new tub was so heavy that it took four people to carry it up to the second floor. The shower was rebuilt from new cement board and fully waterproofed, then finished in elongated hexagon marble with a mosaic tile floor, a recessed niche, a corner bench and a sliding glass door. We assembled and leveled the vanity cabinets ourselves and cut and installed the stone countertop with our own crew. New Moen fixtures, a new toilet, doors, electrical updates and a new exhaust fan finished the room.
